Membership Report

Amber Jones,  AAIDD Membership Chair

As we enter 2025, we remain committed to expanding AAIDD membership and strengthening our community. The Membership Committee is actively developing strategies to boost engagement and outreach.

With the ever-evolving IDD landscape, staying informed is essential. AAIDD provides a platform for professionals to exchange ideas, access research, and enhance their skills through specialized training and development. More than a membership, it’s a connection to experts across academic, clinical, community-based, and policy sectors—united in improving the lives of people with IDD and their families.

This year, we are continuing to engage and expanding outreach to:

  • Provider agencies to promote organizational membership benefits.

  • Local authorities to increase awareness of AAIDD resources.

  • Nonprofits focused on IDD advocacy and services to foster collaboration.

  • Parent and family organizations to strengthen connections between professionals and those with lived experience.

  • People with lived experience to ensure their voices shape IDD services and policies.

AAIDD offers flexible membership options, welcoming students, professionals, researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and self-advocates. Whether renewing or joining for the first time, now is the perfect time to connect, learn, and grow with us.

Let’s make 2025 a year of growth, collaboration, and impact!
