Membership Report
Amber Jones, AAIDD Membership Chair
The AAIDD New Membership Committee is excited to share great news—our community is growing! As of September 24, 2025, we have 124 active members, up from 99 in January. This 25% increase meets our annual growth goal and reflects the enthusiasm and commitment of those who share our mission.
Our members come from a wide range of backgrounds—professionals, educators, healthcare providers, advocates, and individuals with lived experience—all united in advancing knowledge and support for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This diversity continues to strengthen our network and expand our collective impact.
Over the past year, the committee met regularly to plan outreach and strengthen engagement. Highlights included a virtual discussion led by AAIDD board members on IDD-related legislative issues, as well as a targeted email campaign to share the benefits of membership and invite new members to get involved.
Looking ahead, we’re launching a flyer campaign and preparing for a larger membership push at upcoming events. Activities will include on-site raffles, live announcements, and personal follow-up to welcome new members into our community.
We’re thrilled by the momentum we’ve built together and look forward to an even more connected and engaged year ahead. Thank you to everyone who has helped our community grow—your support truly makes a difference.
Join AAIDD today and be part of a growing network of professionals, families, and advocates working to make a positive impact in the field of IDD.
