Another Successful Convention in the Books!

What a landmark year it's been! This year's convention brought together professionals, self-advocates, and community members for a full slate of meaningful sessions. From the history and future of publicly funded IDD supports, to homesteading for independence, transition skills for teens with learning differences and autism, behavior-analytic strategies for building independence, Texas legislative updates, mental health wellness for people with IDD, and the healing role of music therapy. 

We loved welcoming both familiar faces and new ones this year. As part of the celebration, our New Membership Committee awarded a YETI Cooler to a new AAIDD member and a YETI Tumbler Set to a returning member. Thank you for being part of our chapter.
